Seaweed as a Material
Within the time in Sweden I learned to get impressed by nature and to change perceptions. Nature offers us already thousands of smart and perfect solutions for problems and difficult circumstances. We only have to use them. Some time ago I already heard about seaweed as material but now I started to  make own things with it  and honestly in the beginning I did not expect any sensful outcome.
I decided to perform several experiments with seaweed. In general I‘m totally impressed about the possibilities and advantages with this material. Here on this page you can see some of these experiments. The most impressive experiment for me was „Tractive force“ where I chucked a stripe of seaweed with four clamps on it. In total a weight about 9,2 kg was hanging on this 15cm x 3cm stripe without any other support, that shows how strong natural seaweed is.
